DESCRIPTION:Home » Races\n\n\n\n\nRescheduled Event Update! \n\n\n\nCelebrate the Fourth of July holiday\, just a month later than intended\, with DC Road Runners. Join us for our annual Age-Graded 4-Miler.This event features staggered start times for each runner based on age and gender. These start times make use of specialized handicap tables that are based on national age group records.The goal is still to get to the finish line first\, but if things go according to plan\, the staggered start times will heighten the competition at the end. With a staggered age-graded start\, runners should finish in a large pack. \n\n\n\nPrizes and Awards\n\n\n\nAll runners should bring a small random prize to the event. The more random\, the better. SUMMARY:Family Night at the Track
DESCRIPTION:Home » Races\n\n\n\n\nOrganized with Potomac Valley Track Club\, Family Night at the Track and Meet of Miles is a family event that is free to members of DC Road Runners and PVTC. This event hosts 400 meter and 800 meter races for kids ages 1-8\, as well as 1-mile heats for participants of all ages. Finally\, there is also a 3K race that is also open to participants of all ages.This event highlights the sport of track in an open and inclusive way\, and both clubs welcome participants of all paces and ages.Awards will be given to the male and female finishers of each heat of the mile and 3K. All participants in the kids races will receive awards.If you are not currently a member of DC Road Runners or Potomac Valley Track Club\, please consider joining. Events like this are made possible only by the generous commitments of our club members.Even though registration is free for members of each club\, we do require registration so that we can organize the heats of each race.This event is not part of the DC Road Runners Bunion Derby Series. Don’t worry.
