Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to give you all a heads up that a film crew will be at our September 27 SLR!!

We were contacted by a film-maker named Jake Klim who is following a veteran, Johnathan, of the Iraq War as he trains for The Weather Channel Half Marathon on Thanksgiving Day.

Johnathan lost his left leg in the war and is running with a prosthetic.

Johnathan has been doing a lot of running with his physical therapist and other "Wounded Warriors" at Walter Reed,
but coming to SLR is a good chance for Johnathan to run with a bunch of new
people or "real runners".

Jake has asked that if a handful of "regulars" are interested in
running with Johnathan on that Saturday. He should be running about 10 min/mile. Please let me know if you are interested. I am not sure that he will be able to run the entire route.....but it would be great if some of our regulars wanted to run with him.

The film crew will be low-profile crew (4 people) and won't film anyone who doesn't
wish to appear on camera. So please let me know if you do not want to be on camera and remind us on the morning of September 27.
