From substitute SLR-leader: Heather Schloss
We lucked out with a gorgeous, NOT-humid morning for today’s SLR run- quite unusual for DC! Over 100 people gathered at Iwo Jima for the Fort Scott Hill Drive route. It was quite a scenic run along the Mt.Vernon trail and runners were awarded for their hard climb up Fort Scott Hill as Adam greeted us with a very well-organized midpoint water/gatorade stop. Thanks, Adam! All in all, I would say that everyone had a great run, enjoyed the beautiful morning, and were happy to return to Iwo Jima where Kristen D. provided us with post-run refreshments. Thanks, Kristen!
