Hello Saturday Runners!
This Saturday, Dec. the 24th, we will be running our Holiday “Festivus Run” route. The loop is 10.8 miles (so good for a low mileage week), but feel free to run it twice for almost 22 miles if you need a long run. There are also plenty of chances to turn around along the National Mall for a middle distance run. Keep an eye out for the National Christmas Tree and National Menorah.
Please thank Miguel Cuya for our post-run Beverages. We are covered for drinks through January, but could always use volunteers for February and beyond. Email slr@dcroadrunners.org if you can help out.
Directions: Okay, there are a lot of little turns and streets so rather than write like a whole page here please check out the cue sheet and map for specifics. Heated bathrooms under Lincoln Memorial and in the little house behind Washington Monument.
Have a great run! Looks like more great running weather ahead; although not as unseasonably warm as this last week its still above average with temps in the high 30s! Hope everyone has a pleasant and safe Holiday filled with food, family, and friends – or at least eggnog, Sam Adams “Old Fezziwig” Ale, and lots of miles on foot :)
