In the hour before the race, a mighty thunderstorm kept the runners huddled under the pavilion roof, but by the start time, the rain ceased, and the race went on as scheduled.
In the women's race at 7:00 pm, Toni Diegoli finished almost a minute ahead of Jessie Sackett.
In the men's race at 7:30 pm, Ben Danforth finished just five seconds ahead of Joe Racine.
