Burke Lake Park, Fairfax Station, VA
With temperatures hovering in the high 20's and the blustery wind sending the wind chill into the teens, (yes, Spring is still 17 days away!), over 150 runners galloped along the Burke Lake trail to successfully complete this Snowball Series Event #7 on the DCRRC running schedule. The runners then enjoyed post-race refreshments which included bagels w/ cream cheese/peanut butter/grape jelly, various types of cookies, bananas, Gatorade and Fairfax County finest water and concluded with a brief awards ceremony.
