2014 Island Creek ES PTA's 5K and 1 Mile fun runIsland Creek ES PTA's 5th Annual 5K and 1 Mile fun run.
Saturday, April 26, 2014 Course: 5K begins and ends at the crosswalk in front of Island Creek Elementary School and goes through surrounding neighborhoods. Police support and safety marshals will be stationed along the course. There will be one water station at the halfway point. Without exception, no headsets, iPods, inline skates, strollers, jogging strollers, bicycles, or pets are allowed on the course during the race. Time limit: The Fairfax County Police request that all participants must be able to complete the 5K course within one hour. T-Shirt: Registrations received by April 11th are guaranteed a t-shirt. The t-shirts come in the following sizes: Youth Small,Youth Medium, Youth Large,Adult Small, Adult Medium, Adult Large and Adult XL. Online registration Prior to April 11:

Packet Pickup: Island Creek ES
Event proceeds: Proceeds for the event will go to support the Island Creek Elementary PTA enrichment programs, book upgrades, cultural initiatives (field trips) as well as professional education, fitness and recreation, and other programs for the Island Creek Students. Timing: This race is timed using the Chronotrack timing system, please familiarize yourself with how the timing tags work by visiting the Chronotrack website. Though this race is chip timed, awards will be determined by gun times.

1st Place – male and female 1st grader 1st Place – male and female 2nd grader
*All participants will receive a participation ribbon
5K MEDALS
1st & 2nd Place– male and female Adult
1st & 2nd Place – male and female Teacher/Staff
1st & 2nd Place – male and female 5-6 y.o. Student
1st & 2nd Place – male and female 7-8 y.o. Student
1st & 2nd Place – male and female 9-10 y.o. Student
1st & 2nd Place – male and female 11-13 y.o. Student
1st & 2nd Place – male and female 14-17 y.o. Student
The class with the most participants will win a
