2024 DCRRC Hugh Jascourt 4-MilerCelebrate the 63rd anniversary of the DC Road Runners' first race with the Hugh Jascourt 4-Miler, named for the Club's first President. Hugh was an active and early supporter of women's running, a coach of two U.S. teams, and so knowledgeable that Congress called on him to testify to discuss running. Course map linked here. Registration and Fees: Online advance registration through 8 PM the evening before the race:

We'll not accept any other form of registration/payment at the race site.
Who is registered? check this list. You should receive a confirmation email but sometimes they end up in a spam folder. This list will serve as the alternative confirmation of your registration. If you signed up for the race and can no longer run please email races@dcroadrunners.org to inform us of your cancelation. There will be no refund for canceling but you will open up a spot for a fellow runner. If you would like information about our club membership and the many benefits go to our membership page. Refund Policy: We have a strict no refund, no transfer and no deferral policy on all of our low key races. However, in the event we are forced to cancel this race due to weather or other unforeseen events we will make every attempt to reschedule this race on another date. In this event, your registration would automatically carry over to the new date. If you are unable to run this new date or we are unable to find a new date for the race we will grant you free entry into another of our low key races in which room is available. Volunteers: We need many volunteers to help coordinate the race events. If you would like to volunteer, please sign-up here Race-day Information: The Hugh Jascourt 4-Miler will start at 7:00 pm. The start/finish line is near the Fletcher's Boat House, 4940 Canal Rd NW, Washington, DC . From DC/Georgetown vicinity of Key Bridge: head north on M Street, which becomes Canal Road. See Georgetown University on your right. Hoya Saxa! 0.6 mile past Key Bridge, the road splits at a traffic signal; Foxhall Road peels off to the right, but you'll stay left and continue on Canal Road. 1.6 miles past the traffic signal, there will be an inconspicuous driveway on the left (river side) of the road; turn down this driveway. There is some parking just after the turnoff; if this lot is full, go through the culvert under the C&O Canal to get to the large parking lot by the Boathouse. Note: Canal Road is one-way, outbound from D.C., from 2:45 to 7:15 pm weekdays. Click here for Google directions. Timing: This race is timed using the Chronotrack timing system. Post Race Celebration: It's the Club Birthday so there will be a birthday cake as well as watermelon. Stroller and Dog Policy: No dogs and strollers. Headphone Policy: The use of headphones is strongly discouraged at all DCRR Club races.
